Sarah Samways, AKA Sambodia, is a mixed-race visual artist/writer who lives in Rhode Island. Her current work explores identity amongst a 24-hr news cycle, the polarizing hive mind of the internet, and the ritual of ‘logging in.’ She is inspired by the juxtaposition of our natural and digital worlds, Cambodian textiles, and spiderwebs. Through the completion of her work, she hopes to find a greater sense of self and her place on this planet. Currently, she is pursuing CE certificates in Natural Science Illustration and Graphic Design.
